Dear Prospective Volunteers,
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at New Legacy Charter School! You will be helping our teens and their children create a new legacy for their families. Your involvement is a wonderful way to connect with and support our students.
During this pilot year of the volunteer program, we welcome volunteers on Tuesdays and Thursdays during school hours, 8:30am-4:00pm. There is no formal commitment required to participate. You can volunteer on a weekly basis, or occasionally as your schedule allows. You can volunteer in the same role each time, or you can choose different roles as space allows.
Occasionally we will offer opportunities to volunteer on days outside of this timeframe throughout the year. Please let us know if you would like to receive advance notice of these additional events.
At this time a variety of volunteer positions are available to support High School classrooms, Early Learning Center classrooms, and administrative work throughout the school. Opportunities will be determined by the schools needs on any given week. Positions will be filled on a first come, first serve basis by signing up on KyndHub (details below).
If you want to support New Legacy Charter School but do not have time to volunteer during the day, please consider doing one of the following:
- Purchasing something for our school off of our Amazon Wish List
- Making a donation to the school. Click here to donate through Colorado Gives.org.
- Joining one of our Committees
- Providing food for staff and board meetings KyndHub.
We appreciate you considering how you might be able to support New Legacy Charter School. Any contribution you can make will be valuable to our community!

HOW TO GET STARTED
Step 1. Sign up to attend one of our volunteer orientation sessions held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Your orientation will involve a tour of the school, an overview of available volunteer opportunities, and an outline of our expectations of our volunteers. To schedule a Tuesday session email Laura Weil. To schedule a Thursday session email Roxanne Stevens.
Step 2. We take our students’ safety very seriously. Before you can volunteer, you will need to complete a background check for $6.85 at… https://www.cbirecordscheck.com/Index.aspx?CLS=Y
When prompted upon completion to email the report, please send it to the school via Claudia Baylon, Operations Director (firstname.lastname@example.org).
If you have trouble with this process or if cost is a barrier, please reach out to one of our volunteer coordinators.
Step 3. Create an account on our volunteer platform, KyndHub (https://www.kyndhub.com). Join as an individual, use your email address as your username and create a password of your choice. Once you have completed an orientation and background check, we will add you to our KyndHub volunteer group so that you will receive emails notifying you when new volunteer opportunities are posted.
Step 4. Log on to KyndHub and sign up for volunteer opportunities that fit your schedule. We encourage you to also logon after you volunteer to share your experience. Repeat! Bring a friend! Thank you for your time and for supporting our students!
A note about KyndHub: Not only is KyndHub our scheduling medium, it also serves a much broader community of volunteers groups and people practicing acts of kindness. It additionally functions as a social media site so that you can share your kindness with friends and family, inspiring them to get involved and spread kindness too.
